I finally got around to creating a Xerxes Rift Guide review and wanted to share it with you guys! Hopefully if you are looking into Xerxes Guide and want to hear from someone who has already bought the guide and plays Rift Online then this Xerxes Rift Guide Review is for you.
Now please note, this is just a review and if you are looking for the Xerxes Guide homepage click here.
A Brief Recap…
If you haven’t been following the previous posts then I just wanted to give a general overview of xerxesriftguidereview.com. My name is Scott and I have been playing MMO’s for ages recently getting off of the Word of Warcraft track. My next addiction became Rift – Planes of Telara that launched March 1st of this year. I have always had a knack for picking up the latest leveling guide / strategy guide for any new MMOs I pick up. Well I discovered Xerxes Rift Guide and after finding no REAL review on it, decided to write this Xerxes Rift Guide review.
Be aware though – this Xerxes Rift Guide review will talk about both the good and bad about Xerxes Guide and if that’s something you don’t want to hear then I suggest you leave now.
Xerxes Rift Guide Review
Initially when I pick up Xerxes Rift Guide I was a little skeptical it was a scam. It’s the first thing I need to get out of the way in this Xerxes Guide review, as it’s probably the most common question.
I can say with 100% confidence that it’s NOT a scam and very much real. The guide covers everything it promises in great detail –
If you plan to print the leveling guide make sure you grab a new ink cartridge as the leveling guides are written in great detail.
The next thing I wanted to talk about in this Xerxes Rift Guide review was the member’s area breakdown. Having a member’s area is a great thing as it allows Xerxes to update the guides as the game changes and content is added. Very different from a stand-alone pdf guides with a onetime download. How can these guides follow through on their lifetime updates policy? They don’t.
Xerxes Rift Guide has already showed us amazing game support. They have already updated their leveling builds guide for all classes and have been tweaking their leveling guides ever since the launch – early signs of a Zygor Guides type product? I think so. (For those of you, who don’t know Zygor Guides, they are one of the top leveling guides for World of Warcraft and they are awesome!)
Now I did promise to talk bad about Xerxes Rift Guide in this Xerxes Rift Guide review. So if you like what you’ve read so far, close your eyes for a few seconds while a rant about an issue.
When Xerxes Rift Guide was released their leveling guides were incomplete. They only had levels 1 -16 on both the Defiant and Guardian side. They were slow to release updates all through March and finally I caught up to the guide development after level 42 which ticked me off. I was ready to write a terrible Xerxes Rift Guide review for the world to read!
The worst part about it was the mistakes I realized I made without the guide after I had a chance to look over the final product!!
You don’t need a leveling guide to get to 50 but the proof is there for sure – it’s definitely the fastest way to get to level 50 – hands down. Lucky for you if you decide to pick up Xerxes Rift Guide after reading this Xerxes Rift Guide review you won’t run into the same problem, as all guides are now complete….which brings me to their leveling guides.
Xerxes Rift Leveling Guides Review
If you’re skimming this Xerxes Rift Guide Review, this is the one section you will want to read!
The bulk of the Members area is filled with detailed 1 – 50 leveling guides written for BOTH the Defiant and Guardian side. These leveling guides pretty much take you by the hand and not only show you each step of the way to level from 1 – 50 BUT also show you a optimally designed questing path to get there.
The questing path will save you loads of time over all 50 levels and definitely take the frustration out of some of the more tedious quests that you will end up skipping.
I can only speak for the Defiant leveling guide in this Xerxes Rift Guide review since I have yet to leveling a Guardian character. However, I have looked over it and from a layout and content point of view it looks just as good. As far as the questing path I cannot comment since I don’t know.

My Opinion On the Dungeon Guides
One thing I really thought was cool was their Dungeon guide. Typically Dungeon guides can be their own separate product but Xerxes was awesome enough to include them in their product! If you need a break and want to test out your new rotation or see how much DPS you can put out by hitting up a Dungeon – this guide will be a nice addition to you.
You can lead through the full dungeon and actually look like you know what you’re doing even if it’s your first time. I only used the guide once, as I prefer to quest when leveling but it definitely got the job done – big thumbs here.
Bonus Material
I could go on and on throughout this Xerxes Rift Guide review but I need to wrap it up. Instead of going through the rest of the material…yes there is more! I’ve decided to group the rest into bonus material.
These guides include:
- Beginners Guide
- User Interface Guide
- Rifting Guide
- Auction House Guide <- another added guide I didn’t know about
- Warfronts Guide
- and High Definition Maps! <- Novelty if you ask me
These guides are pretty self-explanatory based on their title and they all deliver accordingly. If you aren’t new to the game then the beginner’s guides (1st three listed) won’t be of much use to you. The Auction house guide and Warfronts guide are worth a look for sure.
Wrapping Up Xerxes Rift Guide Review
In closing I have to say I was blown away by the quality of Xerxes product. The detail is great in all their guides and extremely helpful. Even though the guides did take longer to write than expected I have to give them full credit –
I would rather a quality product delivered late than a crap one delivered on time.
Xerxes Guides are constantly updating which is nice to see as well. They aren’t just some fly-by-night team – they are here to stay.
Thank you for reading my Xerxes Rift Guide review and I hope you enjoyed it!
